Ranvir Shorey breaks his silence on Jaya Bachchan's nepotism comment

Bigg Boss OTT 3 fame Ranveer Shorey is in the news these days. Ranveer became the second runner-up in the reality show hosted by Anil Kapoor. Since leaving the show, Ranveer has been making many revelations related to his life. Recently, Ranveer Shorey mentioned a four-year-old tweet which is related to Jaya Bachchan.

Jaya Bachchan said this about nepotism

Actually, in 2020, actress and MP Jaya Bachchan reprimanded those who spoke against nepotism in the Parliament House and said, "You bite with the same hand with which you get food." This statement of hers was much discussed. At that time, Ranveer Shouri was so enraged by Jaya Bachchan's words that he even tweeted. Four years after which, Ranveer Shouri has reacted to his tweet. 

Ranveer Shorey reacted to the nepotism comment

Let us tell you that Ranveer Shorey recently gave his reaction on the comment made in the year 2020 in his latest interview. He said, "I did not say this on Jaya ji's comment, whatever she said at that time was all over the internet. Everyone was talking about that thali. So I also gave my opinion, but it was not in response to her".

Continuing his point, the actor further said, "I must have been very angry while writing this. Earlier also people have told me that I write very motivated on social media. So maybe it is better to step back. Today if I have to say the same thing. Then maybe I would not express it in such a sarcastic way. I did not need to be so angry about it. I have written this when that anger was brewing inside me, double standards were followed in Bollywood. So I think this expresses my anger".

What did Jaya Bachchan say about nepotism in 2020?

During the coronavirus pandemic, Jaya Bachchan was speaking in Parliament when she targeted those accusing Bollywood of nepotism. The actress-turned-politician had said, “You bite the plate in which you eat”. Reacting to this, Shourie had written on his ex handle, “They decorate the plates for their children. We are thrown pieces of spices. We pack our own tiffin and go to work. Nobody has given us anything. What we have is what they don’t tell us. They just give that to their children”.
